A case of severe pyorrhoea (Gum disease) treated at Smile Curve Dental Clinic, Indore

A lady of 47 years visited Smile Curve Dental Clinic,Indore  for the treatment of severe pyorrhoea.
She has this problem from the past 4-5 years. She has the complaint of bleeding & pus discharge from the gums.
In the meantime ,she also developed spacing in her teeth[pathologic migration].
Over that period, the problem of pyorrhoea[Chronic destructive periodontitis] is so severe that she has lost her some of the teeth due to the disease. She has developed bad breath[Halitosis],which also creates  a problem for her to  socialise. Our surgeon dentist at Smile Curve Dental Clinic,Indore has decided to perform Flap surgery for this problem.
We educate the patient regarding her problem.
At an initial visit we perform a routine ultrasonic superficial scaling & demonstrate her the importance of maintaining a good oral hygiene. We also teaches her the proper method & tools to maintain a good oral hygiene. It’s important for her to realise how a good oral hygiene will help to counter & avoid oral problems. Once the patient appreciates the importance of maintaining good oral hygiene, we started the procedure for Flap Surgery of gums.
We use a Radio Frequency Based Tissue Contouring System combined with the conventional approach of Inverse bevel flap of Periodontal Flap surgery.
We completed the flap surgical procedure in different segments over a period of time.
After 6-7 weeks of completion of surgery & successful maintenance of oral hygiene by the patient, she is now recovered from Pyorrhoea. She is now happy with her new smile.
